Field House: Past and Future

1952 Fld House Rendering

New Addition

Coach Rienzo dug into the archives and found this architectural rendition of the “new”  field house.  The Nation took a couple pictures of the architectural plans for the new addition: basement, main, and outside.  (This PDF is also in the Boys Basketball Archives)

It’s Basketball Season…

Carpenter and Chambers

With tryouts just finishing up, it’s time to test the community out on basketball trivia!

Anybody know these guys?

Here is a photo of Larry Carpenter (Father of recent football/basketball player Corey Carpenter), Coach Rienzo, and Corey Chambers from the 1974-75 Team

The 74-75 team was the DCSL Champions and Section One Finalists who lost to Lincoln of Yonkers in the finals 60-58 at the Westchester County Center.
Larry Carpenter  was 1st Team All-Freeman and DCSL.
Corey Chambers was Player of the Year for Freeman and DCSL.
Coach Rienzo was Coach of the Year for Freeman and DCSL too.
Larry  Carpenter was also selected for the Section One All-Tournament Team: we believe he was the only DCSL player chosen for that honor.

Old School Football…

Timbrouck to Parker

We stole this off of the Facebook from a community member, but we think he’ll forgive us.  Can you guess the year; the QB; the RB; and maybe some of the lineman?

Grass field, and look at the stands…

By the way, who was the leading rusher in KHS History:  you may be surprised! (click here to find out)

Who was the First State Champion XC Runner?

Since we are getting into  championship season, let’s see how good you are at Tiger Nation Trivia.  The Tiger Nation has been busy updating pages with a lot of history, archives and records.  Check out the answer on the Boys XC Archives Page (courtesy Freeman and Coach Mike Rienzo for digging it up!) .
